We have a long-term contract opportunity for a User Experience Specialist in Calgary, AB.

SUMMARY

We are looking for a User Experience Specialist with experience in designing and building user interfaces to rich web and mobile application with strong interests and capabilities in the design and development of engaging user experiences. A thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies is a must.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Two or more years of user experience design experience for software, Web applications which leverage emergent technologies, consumer electronics and/or mobile devices;
• Strong conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability;
• Exceptional design skills, production value and attention to detail;
• Ability to create wireframes as well as visual design comps;
• Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies;
• Understanding of common software project management practices and software development practices;
• Highly skilled at front-end engineering and development using Object-Oriented JavaScript, various JavaScript libraries and micro frameworks (Bootstrap, jQuery, Angular, Underscore, Prototype, Dojo, Backbone, YUI), HTML5 and CSS;
• Strong customer service/client service skills;
• Demonstrated experience with information architecture and flow – including content structure, determination of information and navigation flows, presentation principles, wireframes and schematics, sitemaps, etc

YOU MUST BE LEGALLY ENTITLED TO WORK IN CANADA.
