Job description:

As the User Experience Designer, you will be responsible for helping design the future of our products. You will drive the user experience for our platform from conception through maturity. You will use your blend of style and design skills, technical knowledge, and ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders both internally and externally to bring ResponseTek’s innovative products to life.

Responsibilities:

As a key member of the Product Management team, you will be responsible for the following:

• Innovate, implement and improve the user experience for our customers
• Lead the UX design process and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, particularly Product Managers and Developers from concept through to successful release to customers
• Bring ideas and concepts to life through the use of mock-ups, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes and other core design tools to effectively communicate interaction and design details
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand and define functional requirements and specifications
• Provide a consistent user experience across all aspects of our platform and user touch-points
• Bring best practices and new opportunities forward with respect to online user experience

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education preferably in interaction design, multimedia design, human factors or related field
• 3-5 years experience designing and optimizing user experience, ideally for SaaS or web-based software
• Expertise in software UX design methodologies and best practices
• Strong knowledge of design tools and software
• Hands on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a major asset
• Mobile design experience is desired
• Ability independently to take high level concepts and develop feasible design options
• Proven experience to successfully collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written
