You’re a designer with an eye for clean and professional design, a burning passion toward newest technologies, software paradigms, and loves to show case an emphasis on UI and UX design. You take initiative and enjoy that feeling of accomplishment when you see a project through from beginning to the end, with minimal supervision. You are hungry to build up your portfolio to show off your creativity while generating meaningful impacts. Your mission: using your design expertise to build a flawless software user interface and experience for our clients in the education industry. You will be expected to work in our Toronto office full time.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with product management and development teams to define and implement innovative solutions for new product directions, visuals, and user experience
• Communicating and gathering feedback from various stakeholders both internally and externally
• Working with developers to ensure they understand all aspects of requirements and specifications from design and user experience aspects
• Work quickly within defined timelines and budgets
• Becoming a KEV evangelist within the company to your co-workers, and outside the company to clients and potential clients
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Product development experience, preferably in an agile environment
• Experience in creating product demos, prototypes, wireframe
• In-depth knowledge of user-centered design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to software applications
• Passion for design and ability to effectively share your point of view and design expertise with other project team members
• Advanced knowledge of Sketch, InDesign, Adobe Master Collection (Illustrator, After Effects)
• A solid portfolio demonstrating breadth and creativity of your awesome UI/UX design work is required

Beneficial to Have:

• Experience working with Adobe Captivate, WordPress
• Motion graphic experience to create instructional videos and promote corporate content
• 1-2 years of experience working as a UI/UX designer in a software company
• Formal education in product development, design
