Our client, located in Liberty Village is seeking a UI Designer to join their Development Team in supporting a multi-national brand. The candidate must be comfortable working with adult themes.

Position Overview

The User Interface Designer develops innovative solutions for a range of web and digital projects. The incumbent is responsible for the creation of mock-ups, prototypes, responsive website designs, and various graphical elements.

Key Responsibilities:

Design user interfaces for tablet, mobile and desktop, including responsive websites.

Brainstorm design and usability options with UX Designers, Front End Developers and Back End Developers

Present different options visually in the form of mock-ups, wireframes and web prototypes

Collaborate with the UX designer to create prototypes and wireframes

Assist developers with layout, styling, and CSS tasks

Meet with Product Owners to understand project requirements

Create professional, engaging and aesthetically appealing responsive websites and site improvements

Create attractive graphic and multimedia content for the company products

Research and develop innovative web concepts for various platforms

Good understanding of web usability standards

Education & Experience Requirements:

Post-secondary degree in Design, Computer Science or equivalent work experience

2-4 years of web design experience

Expert-level proficiency in Photoshop & Illustrator. Experience with Sketch is a huge bonus.

Expert-level proficiency in front-end web coding, specifically HTML & CSS

Experience in working within the AGILE development methodology is strongly preferred

Ability to design mockups and code designed mock-ups to functional web pages

Experience in designing/coding responsive websites

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Excellent communication, planning and time-management skills.

Strong problem-solving, collaboration and team-work skills

Exceptional attention to detail is a must

Bonus:

An understanding of front-end frameworks like Bootstrap, Foundation etc

Any knowledge or experience of working in JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks

Experience in gaming/product development is considered an asset
