Reporting to the Manager, Creative Content & Catalogue Development, the Trade Graphics Specialist will be responsible for the production design of all trade material such as account flyers, themed flyers and other requested collateral.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting the project’s needs, gathering information and data to clarify design issues and thinking creatively to produce ideas and solutions to the design challenges
  • Develops account-specific flyers
  • Develops customizable themed flyers and storyboards
  • Develops virtual designs, pitch decks and other pitch materials as requested
  • Maintains consistent Ash City brand and content
  • Works closely with Channel/Trade Marketing team to create professional, cohesive pitch presentations
  • Works with Design team on layout, content and positioning
  • Prepares multiple mock-ups and/or design options
  • Gathers feedback on design mock-ups and integrating necessary changes
  • Develop all other account-specific graphic elements as required
  • Multi-tasks by working on multiple projects with concurrent deadlines, demonstrating excellent time management
  • Along with solid design skills, use a wide range of media, including photography and illustration in design solutions
  • Produces accurate and high quality work
  • Works well in a team with other graphic designers, copywriters/editors, and project managers
  • Works to meet tight deadlines
  • Prints selling materials as requested

Other Skills:

  • Must be able to determine the proper decoration medium (heat seal / embroidery) and logo location for virtual garment presentations
  • Must be creative and able to communicate ideas visually, verbally and in writing and must have an eye for detail
  • Must be able to work with many file types at any given time and have the ability to set files up for print, web, interactive solutions (PDFs)
  • Must be self-disciplined to start projects, to budget time and to meet deadlines and production schedules
  • Must have a solid sense of creativity, imagination, motivation and the ability to come up with innovative solutions to design challenges; strong communication skills, with the ability to interpret needs/ideas and the ability to clearly communicate design solutions to people without a design background
  • A strong knowledge of design software, especially Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustration, Acrobat and InDesign).  An understanding of web usability, visual marketing and a working knowledge of printing and production methods is a definite asset.

Requirements:

  • Graphic design diploma
  • 2 years experience in graphic design
  • Knowledge of fabric and apparel decoration preferred

  • Exceptionally creative eye and desire to deliver innovative and unique creative concepts
