The Studio Manager oversees all functions of traffic, production, and the day-to-day operations of Resonance’s creative studio in Vancouver. This includes overall office management and scheduling, tracking, and reviewing all jobs.
The Studio Manager functions as the primary contact with all creative and production vendors/freelancers and helps keep all jobs on schedule. She/he identifies potential problems or issues before they arise and recognizes positive developments as they occur. The Studio Manager organizes and manages most day-to-day office activities and provides ongoing proofing and fact checking support as needed.
Assigns and schedules all creative assignments for on-site and off-site creative staff.
Runs weekly Studio Status meetings with Account Managers to review jobs scheduled for the week and adjust tasks and projects as priorities shift.
Ensures that creative pieces are produced timely, on budget and with the degree of quality promised to the client.
Main point of contact with freelance creatives and designers on schedule, timeline and scope of projects.
Directs and guides graphic designers in preparation of files based on confirmed specifications from vendors.
Proofreads and verifies that all requested revisions have been made before providing new proofs for Account Manager review.
Manages the placement and distribution of electronic files for client advertising placements as scheduled.
Remains current on industry trends and technology.
Sets-up, maintains and manages office systems used (Asana, Harvest, Google Drive).
Builds procedures and ensures studio processes are being followed and are updated as necessary.
Works with creatives to develop print quote requests and points out any missing or extra information needed before sending to vendor.
Coordinates with printers and other suppliers to produce quotes, print orders, timelines and final products.
Creates and files contractor and vendor agreements, reviews and processes associated incoming invoices
Monitors and reports on time utilization, job costs and project budgets
Consistently checks-in and maintains creatives schedules alerting Account Managers when workload is too low are too high to ensure everyone is working at a manageable capacity.
