To continue our tremendous success and unparalleled growth, we are searching for qualified and ambitious individuals to act as a single point of contact for strategic accounts, in accordance to company-designated strategic account revenue and geographic designation within a specific District or Region. The Strategic Account Manager will report to the Region Sales & Marketing Director and will be instrumental in increasing the company market share with customers, grow strategic account customer base and in some cases be assigned large projects.
The Strategic Account Manager will maintain and develop relationships with existing strategic accounts and their subsidiary companies, as well as, prospect and qualify new strategic accounts from existing key or branch accounts, dormant or non-customer accounts, including competitor accounts.
This position will also support the overall efforts of and closely partner with branch sales representatives, key account managers, District Managers, National Accounts Managers and Region Sales & Marketing Directors to drive revenue national account and branch revenue. Additionally, this position will require assisting the credit department with any outstanding issues concerning key accounts.
Strategic Account Managers receive a base salary, plus a commission incentive plan and the use of a company vehicle. We provide our Strategic Account Managers with the top sales technology tools, including saleforce.com and I-phone sales applications, giving them the resources to succeed. Superior customer service remains the backbone of United Rentals, therefore your willingness and ability to provide this to each customer makes you a top-notch candidate. To be qualified, the ideal candidate will have 5+ years sales experience, preferably in branch or sales management and with large account experience. This role requires strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and proficient computer skills. Familiarity with FW Dodge and salesforce.com is a plus. Knowledge of construction or related equipment is preferred; however, candidates with comparable industry experience, a strong sales acumen and record of achievement will also be considered. We also look for candidates who are independent and possess strong research and organizational skills. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record is required.
