Position Overview:

LawDepot.com is currently hiring and looking to recruit a SEO/Content Marketing Manager in Edmonton, Alberta. Working in the Marketing Department, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Content Marketing team to drive results for LawDepot products and websites. This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects in the areas of content, social media, email, search engine optimization and organic traffic acquisition

  • Develop the SEO strategy and create training material

  • Drive results and implement marketing initiatives to meet key business goals

  • Edit and proofread content developed by content marketing team members

  • Develop the content strategy and create planning material

  • Assess proposals, prioritize, and provide direction on next steps

  • Manage and coordinate projects with marketing team members and cross functional departments

  • Increase overall effectiveness, efficiency, and profitability through operational improvements and smart resource allocation

  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members using internal project management software

  • Mentor team members to develop a high-performance culture

  • Review data analysis to drive decision making and identify areas of opportunity

  • Write new content and website copy as needed

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, English, or Digital Media

  • Experience in marketing (online/digital/eCommerce would be an asset), publishing, people management andproject management

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, digital)

  • Excellent writing, and editing skills

  • Strong knowledge of search engine optimization best practices

  • Ability to take initiative and drive results

  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities

  • Ability to communicate complex legal subject matterto a general audience

  • Ability to manage relationships and collaborate with multiple subject matter experts

  • Ability to use and interpret data to guide marketing decisions

  • Proficiency with existing, emerging, and new media technologies

  • Understanding of social media flows, analytics, and funnels

  • Working knowledge of collaboration documents and software (Hootsuite, Google Drive, Asana, Microsoft Teams, Slack)
