ROLE: Sr. Creative Manager - Maternity Leave 13 Month Contract

As the Sr. Creative Manager at Cactus Club Cafe you drive the creative strategies and manage an internal team to articulate the brand and deliver various marketing initiatives. You combine hands-on design skills with a proven ability to motivate your team to deliver outstanding work. You will lead a team of designers and external creatives to concepts that reach across all platforms (in-restaurant, digital, experiential), while overseeing project design all the way through execution.

Responsibilities:

• Concept and create world-class design that supports all marketing initiatives & campaigns inclusive of print, digital, motion, and environmental. Design includes photography, logos, typography, colour, graphic elements, and motion-based solutions.

• Manage day-to-day operations of a design team, including setting priorities, assigning resources, and ensuring project goals are achieved.

• Oversee and provide daily management of the creative output of your team, including guiding design direction, interaction, and providing technical solutions.

• Champion the overall creative direction on an ongoing basis, inspiring the team through progressive creative design and building and fostering the culture of the team.

• Participate in the creative role of brand development, promotion development, campaigns

• and content.

• Partner with project partners to create work that unifies the marketing strategy and brand vision for all Cactus concepts.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience at an in-house design team and/or design agency group.

• Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud (AI, INDD, PS), with in-depth knowledge of print production and well versed in creating and delivering into social, interactive and emerging platforms.

• Strong leadership and people management skills. Proven ability to mentor and develop skills in designers of all levels.

• Proven experience in designing for brands in digital, print, and environmental with a track record

• of delivering robust visual design.

• Welcomes feedback and criticism, and enjoys working in a collaborative, iterative,

• and agile process.

• Willing to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and support on design requests where needed on an

• on-going basis.

• Capable of juggling multiple projects within tight and demanding deadlines.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
