Position Focus

The primary focus of the Senior Account Manager is to enable the Bank to effectively meet the borrowing needs of a group of clients and potential Equipment Finance Group (EFG) clients.

The ideal candidate will be re- locatable to the Edmonton area. Special arrangements can be provided to the successful candidate who wishes to reside in Whitecourt. Some travel is required.

Education

Post-secondary degree, preferably Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance or Accounting.

Experience/Aptitude

  • Minimum four (4) years experience in Equipment Financing and Leasing and/or Commercial lending.
  • Good risk assessment skills.

  • Experience with margining Lines of Credit is an asset.

  • Proven marketing and negotiating skills.

  • Sound knowledge of credit granting analysis and risk assessment.

  • Strong organization skills and an attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong knowledge of Word and Excel.

  • Ability to perform well as a team player.

  • Some travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of new and existing equipment finance banking client relationships.
  • Provide support in the development of new business in the Equipment Finance sector.

  • Ensure the safety of the Bank’s funds through proper loan portfolio management with focus on loan quality, exposure limits and security requirements.

  • Develop a network of contacts and undertake proactive marketing activities to attract new clients to the Bank.

  • Minimize loan and revenue loss experience through implementation of programs and procedures to identify and manage problem loans.

  • Prepare credit applications and renewals, including the review of financial statements, ensuring credit applications exhibit quality risk assessment and analysis.

  • Ensure security documentation and credit investigations are completed for borrowers.

  • Ensure loan quality through security documentation follow-up.

  • Provide effective leadership to the Credit Officers, as applicable, to ensure effective management of the EFG loan portfolio.
