Sales and Marketing Manager full-time
If you have a background in hotel operations, a passion for the hospitality industry and demonstrated sales and marketing experience, join the InterContinental Hotel Group as a Franchise Sales and Marketing Manager for Western Canada (Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver)!
Based in either Calgary or Edmonton, the Franchise Sales and Marketing Manager, Western Canada:
- Provides hands-on sales, marketing and sales consultation to property Director of Sales and General Managers for all IHG brands in both franchised and company managed hotels.
- Develops strategy and objectives for hotels in an assigned geographical region to drive measurable, incremental revenue.
- Works with individual hotel teams to identify skill development areas, coordinates sales, marketing resources and uncovers new opportunities for the extended stay business.
- Implements tracking measures to measure performance of sales and/or marketing initiatives in area of responsibility.
- Ensures the proper team is in place to fulfill goals and objectives.
- Open to travel up to 60%.
Do you have what it takes? Of course you do, because you have:
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Hotel Management, Business, or a relevant field of work. An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience in hotel operations is also a great asset.
- 5 + years of progressive work-related experience (5 years hotel sales experience in a mid-sized property as a Director of Sales, and experience including the development and execution of tactical sales programs (business plans) as well as regional or multi-hotel corporate experience).
