Our head office in Surrey, BC is looking for an Online Community Representative. This is a full time, permanent position, starting immediately. Job Description:

The Online Community Representativewill be responsible for creating and maintaining Wok Box’s web presence through the company website, social media sites as well as any review platforms and blogs. Engaging online customers with web campaigns and creative content is an integral part of this position. Online Community Reps will work with web developers to increase the effectiveness of overall exposure of the company though online tools. They will also monitor emerging web and social media tools to see how they can be incorporated into the company's business, marketing and public relation strategies. This role requires a person who is motivated, outgoing, has a networking mindset andmulti-tasks well in a fast paced environment. Candidates will excel in writing, customer service and be knowledgeable in technology and public relations.

  • Tracking conversations in online communities and reviewing main website feedback every day and responding as appropriate in the Wok Box voice
  • Working with our web developers and Brand Manager to develop content for and manage our entire online network
  • Develop social media campaigns and promotions that integrate and support marketing strategies, resulting in user engagement with positive ROI
  • Developing and managing our online news and content marketing program
  • Help franchisees manage successfulSocial Media accounts
  • Keep franchise webpages updated with current/ correct content
  • Recommend strategies to enhance company communications through analysis of customers and their behavior, current market conditions, industry trends and competitor information
  • Writing for a variety of marketing communications, including press releases, website news items, e-newsletter articles, blog posts and more
  • Improve the copy in menus and manuals


  • 2–5 years experience working in a creative communications and public relations role
  • Preference will be given to candidates that have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, English or related field
  • Demonstrated experience creating innovative social media and PR campaigns
  • In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and digital disciplines
  • Familiar with digital and social media metrics
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic
  • Strong customer focus with excellent follow-through and follow up skills
  • Attention to detail while handling multiple projects in a fast paced environment
