Housing world-class artists, animators, and video game industry vets dedicated to creating the largest, most diverse, console customization and personalization portfolio for the Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation platforms. We also provide industry leading art and design outsource services ranging from 2D and 3D art, animation, and mobile application development.

We work with some of the biggest brands and properties in sports and entertainment such as WB, Paramount, Ubisoft, Activision, NBA, NHL, NFL, Billabong, Puma and many other movie/ TV studios, fashion labels, artists and leading games companies.

We are seeking an Office Coordinator to provide support to the President, Directors and general office.

Disruptive Publishers is looking for the heart and soul of our centrally located Yaletown office, the lifeblood of both the inner workings of the office and to the hundreds of clients we service. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • First line of response for inbound inquiries and requests– front desk communications liaison.
  • Support the accountant with daily banking, making payments, and handling banking transactions, monthly and quarterly expenses with report reconciliation on behalf of the President.
  • Opening and sorting incoming mail, identifying and highlighting high priority mail and logging outgoing mail/UPS from President and Directors.
  • Set up and maintain the files in the President’s office, opening, maintaining, and archiving as required which permits easy reference and rapid retrieval of information.
  • Executive Management support.
  • General office upkeep and maintenance, keeping inventory and ordering office supplies for the company.
  • Answering and screening incoming phone calls, responding to routine enquiries and directing callers to the appropriate individual.
  • Writing and delivering internal communication and announcements.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required as well as errand running where required.
  • Arranging travel, accommodation, car reservations and preparing itineraries for corporate and personal travel as requested.
  • Running errands as required such as getting coffee for guests, ordering catering, and arranging meetings
  • Liaising with artists and other partners, and assisting with the contracting process.
  • Planning, coordinating, and executing business meetings and corporate/social special events.
  • Additional ad hoc marketing projects as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years marketing/business or secretarial experience will get preference.
  • Excellent computer skills with strong knowledge of MS Office - Word, Excel (high level), PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Comfortable using web applications and programs.
  • Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and efficient with strong time management skills.
  • Superior interpersonal, oral communication and relationship management skills.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking and diplomacy skills.
  • Adept at balancing and prioritizing major concurrent tasks and projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of the team.
  • Ability to adapt and learn in a changing environment.
  • Professional and courteous etiquette/demeanor.
