Job Description

Reporting to the Vice-President of Sales - Canada, your duties will include:

  • Drive organic growth and expand the scope of business with the base of existing clients
  • Solidify reputation as a trusted advisor deploying consultative approach to generate new business within the portfolio of existing customers
  • Create and execute growth development and retention plans for assigned clients
  • Identify strategic opportunities and establish sales tactics to penetrate and develop specific clients in assigned regional markets
  • Continuously review competitive market landscape
  • Recommend, develop, and implement new and creative tactics to meet clients business objectives
  • Manage internal partnerships in development and presentation of complete tailored proposals to decision makers
  • Perform effectively within cross-functional teams (internal/external) that include representation from product development, marketing and operations
  • Compile business proposals and negotiate contractual arrangements
  • Proficient knowledge of Garda’s entire product and services offering
  • Complete timely sales reporting including opportunities updates, sales forecasts, call reports, and tracking of contract expiration agreements
  • Ensure completion and execution of accurate contract documentation and liaison with administration and billing departments
  • Represent Garda’s core values and business principles

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience with complex and long sales cycle management
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in business management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Travel may be required
  • Working knowledge of cash management practices or experience within the corporate and retail industry is an asset

  • Good sense of leadership, structuring, execution, negotiation and technical expertise
  • Strong teamwork and partnership orientation
  • Focus on execution and accountability
  • Sense of urgency, outstanding communication and presentation skills and ability to articulate competitive differentiation
  • Ability to identify and qualify opportunities, perform needs assessment, present and close new business
  • Self-starter with an evidenced prioritization skills and ability to take ownership of the assigned tasks and work autonomously with minimum or no supervision
  • Strong marketing, presentation and sales skills among multiple, integrated product/service solutions to mid- and high- level executives at retail organizations and or financial institutions
