Reporting to the Corporate Marketing Manager, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator will act as the lead in developing and implementing the full range of marketing programs for internal clients. They will also research and write content for web, brochures, newsletters and other marketing material.
Key position functions include:
•Develop marketing plans in collaboration with internal clients and execute marketing projects on their behalf.
•Work with sales to develop key messages and sales tools to reach the appropriate audience.
•Represent corporate marketing with internal clients at all levels, including Sales, Engineering, Human Resources, Safety and other groups.
•Coordinate and execute corporate events, functions and meetings, such as trade shows.
•Work with graphic designers to produce new marketing materials and update existing material.
•Writing and editing a wide variety of material, including:
-Web content and other online media.
-Technical marketing material for a variety of media, including print, web, email, etc.
-Other marketing material as required.
-Internal communications including newsletters and the intranet.
-Copy editing marketing material.
•Act as the lead in developing and maintaining promotional item program for internal clients.
•Provide support for other areas of the Corporate Marketing team as required.
•Serve as a liaison with external vendors as required.
•Interact with other Marketing Coordinator to share best practices, provide support as needed and serve as a project lead when required.
•Perform other related duties as required.
Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:
•5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry or another business-to-business environment.
•A related college diploma or university degree.
•Experience producing integrated marketing plans that incorporate the full marketing mix.
•Experience in trade show planning and project management.
•Solid understanding of marketing concepts and principles.
•Strong writing skills, experience writing for technical audiences is an asset.
•Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
•Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, client service, organizational and time management skills; accuracy and attention to detail.
•Ability to work as effectively as part of a team, or independently.
•Computer proficiency using MS Office applications (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
