We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Communications Coordinator to join our Marketing Team in Calgary.  Reporting to the Manger, Marketing Communications, the selected candidate will work in a collaborative environment to support the coordination and execution of internal and external marketing activities in order to drive awareness in support of business goals.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Create and distribute high-quality print and digital content including brochures, online copy, articles, infographics, news releases, presentation materials, script/storyboard development and others, as required
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support planning and execution of Spartan’s Marketing Communications strategy
  • Coordinate activity and content for Spartan’s website and intranet, ensuring our brand is accurately presented
  • Monitor social media platforms and engage with our followers, participate in content generation and coordinate reporting
  • Support and assist, when required, with customer events
  • Monitor traditional media coverage for industry news and areas of interest
  • Support and formulate ideas for improving the customer experience

Qualifications and Skills

  • Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related area
  • 3-5 years of previous experience in a marketing or communications role required, Oil & Gas industry or related industry desired
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with proven experience in writing for the web and print
  • Knowledge of HTML and website content management systems an asset
  • Experience with Mobile Application development is beneficial
  • Experience with social media marketing (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & Premiere Pro
  • Video editing/creating skills desired
  • Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and integrity, with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Ability and confidence to network at a variety of business settings/evens
  • Strong “Customer First” focus
  • Strong organization and time-management skills with a proven ability to deal with multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well with all levels of the organization
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic
