Marketing Communications Advisor Full-Time

Position Description: Bridgewater Bank is currently seeking an experienced marketing communications advisor to provide service and advice to our Card Solutions team and external credit card program partners. The successful candidate will need to build strong working relationships with internal and external clients to understand their needs and successfully execute marketing communications activities in support of Card Solutions growth objectives.

Reports to: Manager, Marketing Communications

Location: Downtown Calgary

Major Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
Includes, but not limited to the following:

  • Build campaign plans and manage the creative development and tactical execution for marketing initiatives, including acquisition, customer management, and brand campaigns
  • Ensure that all collateral and campaign elements adhere to visual, brand and regulatory standards and guidelines
  • Effectively manage the means of delivering the right message, at the right place, at the right time
  • Assist in campaign analysis, tracking, interpreting results and recommending appropriate enhancements
  • Coordinate marketing programs across multiple channels including direct mail, email, online communications, advertising, customer promotions, general sales support and various types of marketing collateral
  • Coordinate with other advisors within the marketing team to develop, implement and support marketing initiatives
  • Work with internal and external clients to understand business needs and deliver appropriate marketing solutions
  • Direct the work of external agencies and designers

Background (Education/Licenses/Work Experience):

  • A University degree in marketing, business, or communications or related experience in marketing or a similar business area
  • Minimum five years experience in marketing, brand advertising and/or direct response marketing
  • Financial services background considered an asset (credit card experience preferred)

Skills & Proficiency:

  • Established marketing, analytical, project management, communication and organizational skills required as well as strong PC skills including Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with internal or external agencies or designers
  • Demonstrated abilities in planning, scheduling and organizing
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of various marketing vehicles including print, web, email and social media platforms
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on relationship management
