What you'll do:

The Marketing Budget Specialist will report into the AVP, Marketing, and will work closely with the marketing organization and the leadership team to develop and build out our finance and reporting requirements to help in business decisions that drive our growth. The role is expected to have strong analytical marketing mindset and ability to extract insights to support the marketing plan. The candidate will work closely with management team to provide intelligence, reporting and analysis on budgets and spending. This role must work closely with CTC Finance groups in order to ensure that accurate metrics and reporting are captured. You will also:

  • Manage entire marketing budget and spend allocation reporting
  • Create, manage and regularly distribute critical marketing-related reports
  • Provide business requirements for Marketing budget and forecast
  • Manage purchase order process and ensure vendor and team compliance
  • Liaise with marketing vendors and partners to certify billing accuracy and timeliness
  • Communicate directly with Franchise Executive Group on all spend rationalization
  • Maintain all vendor contract updates and distribute to all stakeholders
  • Integrate key marketing insights in order to optimize marketing spend, improve campaigns, develop customer segmentation, and improve marketing efficiency
  • Develop and maintain suite of monthly/quarterly budget reviews
  • Analyze data for trends and accuracy
  • Collaborate with internal customers, Information Management and Store Operations
  • Identify and lead projects to improve reporting systems and processes
  • Translate data into presentations for upper management
  • Advance the analysis of data to derive better insights and better execution abilities
  • Lead and coordinate data deep dives on specific topics and communicate key conclusions and recommendations
  • Provide support to marketing leadership in preparing budget and business plans
  • Participate in brand strategy meetings and support brand teams with secondary data.

What you have done:

  • Bachelor degree in a business, marketing or accounting would be desirable
  • 5+ years of experience within business organization working within marketing or finance
  • Experience in retail environment would be an asset.

What you bring:
  • Knowledge and skills with ability to work with a variety of external team members in supporting their data retrieval and reporting needs
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Highly detailed with business planning focus

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel:
    • Must have thorough understanding of database structure
    • Experience creating complicated reports including sub-reports, parameter based reports, graphical reports, formula based, well-formatted reports, drill-down reports, analysis reports, etc
  • Ability to work directly with internal departments towards issue resolution/project release.
