Marketing and Social Media Supervisor Full-Time

Job Description:

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role of the Marketing and Social Media Supervisorwill be to work directly with the Director to help with the execution of the annual Marketing and Sales Plans. This includes, but is not limited to, generating written content, tracking campaign ROI, supervising FAM logistics for media, and the planning and execution of Social Media strategies and tactics.  Proactive solicitation of tourism related stories, research, and related follow through will be a key component

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the development of the Marketing & Sales Plan.
  • Gather and syndicate content, imagery and video promoting Lake Louise
  • Script, produce and co-host on-line weekly video show
  • Develop annual Social Media strategy and execute as per over all Marketing plan
  • Monitor and engage with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram to best promote the Lake Louise experience.
  • Supervise operation and content of all on-resort video screens
  • Provide graphic design support
  • Research and draft articles for editorial opportunities with all relevant media outlets, newsletters, online publications, etc
  • Coordinate logistics of media familiarization trips to Lake Louise
  • Research and draft media releases as required
  • Update media content on and syndicate to all partner sites
  • Provide back-up graphic design services
  • Ensure campaign AR/AP is to plan and on budget
  • Create and distribute media kits as required
  • Create and manage media relations database
  • Trafficking of all Marketing activities to ensure timely, accurate delivery both print and on-line
  • Production of campaign tracking reports
  • Resort Phone messaging, Lake Louise Live, Snow Show, Welcome Guides
  • Other duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Willing to work outside when required and in all weather conditions
  • Intermediate to expert skiing/snowboarding ability required
  • Strong  communication skills


  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel, Outlook and Internet
  • Exceptional creative writing and communication skills
  • Obsessive attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Basic graphic design skills
  • Minimum of 3-5 years work experience in related field
  • Creativity, enthusiasm and a passion for the mountains
  • Strong ski or snowboard skills
  • Self-motivated; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Previous experience working with groups & function coordination would be an asset.

Work Schedule:

5 days on/2 days off  ** schedule business level and event dependant**
