iATS Payments is a leading provider of integrated payment processing services for nonprofit organizations.  We are located in Vancouver, BC and are currently looking for someone to join our marketing team as the Marketing and Communications Specialist, this role will report directly to the Marketing Manager. The Marketing and Communications Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and execution of all marketing and communication initiatives for iATS Payments.

Responsibilities:

Implementation of tactical marketing and communications efforts that are in alignment with identified strategic objectives, including:

· Website strategy and content management

o Responsible for making updates and changes to the website via the content management system (CMS)

o Ensure Website / Content / all communication is uniform with iATS brand attributes

o Make recommendations for improvements or enhancements to the website

o Identify trends in website development (look and feel, mobile, social, etc.) and recommend changes as appropriate to keep website modern and professional

o Liaise with external content writer to review and publish content on iATS website, and lead monthly reporting calls

o Track and report on key metrics for website activities including but not limited to pages most viewed, content most viewed, and recommend changes to increase lead capture for sales and increase brand awareness for marketing

· Social communications and community engagement

o Monitor social networks to glean market information relating to iATS clients, partners and competitors

o Liaise with in-house content writer to enhance iATS’ presence on social media

o Track key social media trends and activities so that strategies can be developed to improve thought leadership leading to increased sales and brand awareness

· Email marketing programs

o Develop and execute content for email marketing communications, using an email marketing automation program, to targeted iATS audiences including partners, clients and leads. This includes management of timing of marketing messaging to keep iATS Brand front of mind

o Manage communication efforts with clients and partners for monthly newsletters, product updates, event promotions or service interruptions

o With the help of marketing manager, develop marketing automation strategy (lead scoring, automated programs, email templates, etc.) to keep iATS brand front of mind, but not over communication.

o Report on success of email marketing programs on a regular basis

· Digital advertising

o Develop and execute advertising communications strategy including channels, budget, frequency and use of creative ad materials

o Maintain advertising and communications calendar, submitting ad materials to publications as required and acting as main point of contact

o Track ROI for advertising channels and optimize lead conversion and cost

· Event management

o Make recommendations on which events, tradeshows or conferences iATS should attend considering overall objectives, audience, location and estimated ROI

o Coordinate all logistics of event participation including registration, sponsorships and promotional strategies

o Create effective communication programs to clients and partners around event attending to increase brand awareness

o Report on effectiveness of show to in terms of number of leads, sales, partnerships created

· Development of sales support and marketing materials for iATS products and services

o Based on departmental needs, recommend and prepare brief for the design and development of marketing material

o Liaise with graphic designer for the development of marketing material

o Clearly communicate features and benefits, considering target audience and medium

o Constantly revisit marketing material to increase impact (simplify content)

o Audit all communication sent from iATS across all teams to ensure brand integrity and retire old material effectively

· Partner marketing or co-marketing efforts

o Work directly with internal teams to develop and disseminate co-branded marketing materials addressed to clients and/or partners

o Ensure partner profiles on iATS corporate website is up to date

o Develop other partner marketing or co-marketing efforts as identified and required

· Internal Communication

o Arrange internal communication campaigns to drive desired brand behavior within wider iATS team. Including: brand training and compliance, town hall meetings, event communication, etc.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing and communications, experience in the Non-Profit community highly preferred and experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment is a plus!
  • Marketing degree or certification required
  • Self-starter and extremely motivated; able to work independently without constant supervision
  • High-degree of professionalism and the ability to represent iATS Payments at conferences, tradeshows, events, etc
  • High degree of communicative ability, both oral and written
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task, handling many projects at once
  • Knowledge of web content management systems (ex: Umbraco), and of Marketing Automation Softwares (ex: Act-On, Marketo) are an asset
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and PhotoShop programs is preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com is an advantage
  • Excellent proficiency of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required
