Marketing Analyst Full-Time

  • Understand all aspects of the business in order to anticipate needs; the service lines, and their key markets
  • Monitor multiple sources to provide market intelligence and insight on market trends that may affect sales, budgets and other stakeholders
  • Maintain monthly marketing dashboards that visualizes key performance indicators
  • Conduct market research to analyze competitors; measure financial activity, market share and key strengths/weaknesses
  • Provide data on market sizes, market share and associated forecasting
  • Gather and report market information to assist in Mergers and Acquisitions in strategic growth initiatives
  • Assist in the development of marketing plans, working with senior management and business development to better understand their current market and take steps to grow
  • Assist in developing communications, advertising initiatives, brand awareness and promotions to enhance our clients understanding of why they should use WSP
  • Produce a company-wide newsletter that communicates relevant industry news on a weekly basis
  • Analyze website usage to determine trends and opportunities
  • Assist in the creation of board presentations for senior executives


  • University degree from a post-secondary institution
  • 3-5 years' experience in marketing or in an analytical position, preferably within the engineering/oil and gas industries
  • Technical understanding of marketing planning, research, data analysis, database management systems, CRM Administration, communications, promotions, and business to business marketing
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data and transform into meaningful information
  • Advanced Excel skills (dynamic data models, pivot tables, vlookups, If Statements). Visual Basic would be considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of querying in MS Access
  • Intermediate PowerPoint skills
  • Strong project management, business writing, and reporting skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid business acumen, management, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Effective time management, organizational, and leadership skills
