Administrative Assistant II ( Marketing Administrator ) – Communications
Located in the Edmonton Office and reporting to the Executive Liaison, the Marketing Administrator/Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of complex, responsible, and confidential administrative, clerical and secretarial duties requiring a thorough knowledge of common office practices and organizational procedures. The incumbent is also responsible for mass emails to the membership; creates and designs various communiques and, working with the office manager, will provide technical support for HSAA’s electronic voting. This position supports the Communications department; the Executive Liaison and various HSAA committees. You will be required to:
- work independently in a fast paced environment;
- be a contributing member of the team;
- display initiative and problem-solving skills
In this role you will work closely with other HSAA staff in both Governance and Operations department, ensuring high quality support to HSAA staff and members.
Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- Graduation from an accredited business administration program
- Experience using various software packages with advanced proficiency with In-Design, Adobe Acrobat is mandatory
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in an administrator/administrative assistant role
- Excellent grammar skills with the ability to communicate tactfully, courteously and clearly verbally or in writing
- Proven editorial skills including proficiency in Canadian Press Style
- Sound knowledge of modern office methods, procedures and systems
- Ability to work independently within a team
- An understanding of the labour movement in Alberta would be an asset
- Must display a mature outlook
