Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager, Web and Digital Technologies who thrives on new challenges; an energetic self-starter with an exceptional ability to lead, build relationships and collaborate on website, digital and social media communications and marketing projects. This is a full time permanent position.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Marketing and Recruitment, the Manager, Web and Digital Technologies is responsible for implementing a series of comprehensive marketing and communications plans through Website, Digital and Social Media. This position is responsible for ongoing maintenance and enhancement of KPU’s visibility, branding, positioning, enrollment programs and services, and communications as well as advertising and promotions programs through web, digital and social media.
The Manager, Web and Digital Technologies will supervise staff members within the department who perform website, digital signage and social media activities and other related functions. These functions enable the University to optimize student recruitment and retention, promote KPU’s departments, events and programs as well as increase the level of the University’s brand awareness and the public’s institutional awareness.
The incumbent must have a demonstrated proficiency and experience in web design and architecture, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Google Webmaster Tools, SEO and digital advertising mediums. Strong knowledge of content management systems, website design software and programming languages is required. Proven experience managing social media outlets as well as wikis and blogs is necessary. Experience with Drupal, graphic design, print production and publishing software is an asset. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing successful branding, advertising, marketing and communications campaigns through web, digital and social media environments is required and proven ability to plan and schedule resources and manage staff in a busy environment. Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills with an eye for detail are required.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Web Design and 3-5 years directly related experience in a management and/or intermediate marketing role or marketing management role or an equivalent of education and experience.
