Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Promotions, the Loyalty Campaign Manager is responsible for the implementation, management and quality of promotional campaigns that relate to Air Canada's loyalty and Corporate Rewards programs. This includes but is not limited to the management of quarterly coop campaigns, tactical bonus mile offerings, Top Tier initiatives and campaigns supporting the Altitude program.

The Loyalty Campaign Manager must possess good analytical skills, be innovative and creative, be able to maintain a relationship of trust with peers, partners, internal customers and external communication agencies.

  • Execute and manage Air Canada's marketing promotions programs and initiatives that that relate to Air Canada's loyalty program: quarterly coop campaigns, tactical bonus mile offerings, Top Tier initiatives and campaigns supporting the Altitude program, etc.

  • Manage and execute multi-media initiatives including print campaigns, radio, online, e-mail and OOH

  • Manage and optimize the content of the Altitude Newsletter

  • Support in the development and execute annual marketing communications plans to promote existing and new products/partnerships - Work closely with the loyalty management team

  • Analyze primary and secondary data, current market conditions and competitor information to determine market requirements for existing and future campaigns

  • Prioritize projects and campaigns in keeping with corporate and brand objectives - Develop and deploy yearly campaign calendars

  • Act as a subject-matter expert and consultant to business units. The candidate is required to develop strong, cross-functional, cooperative working relationships with external partners and other branches impacted by promotional marketing activities (Call Centre, Customer Relations, Web Team, Product Design, Premium Marketing Partnerships, Corporate Communications, Aeroplan), etc.

  • Monitor, review and report on all promotional activities and results - Demonstrate ROI of promotional initiatives

  • Collaborate with external service providers and agencies with regards to the delivery of projects and billing.

  • Work closely with the Marketing Analytics team to analyze and continually improve the promotional campaigns - Test promotional content and offers

  • Accountable for ensuring accuracy, cohesiveness and legality of information contained in all online communications

  • Monitor and manage the budget for projects for which he is responsible for

  • Ensure quality control for the projects he is responsible for (print, interactive, digital or other)

  • Ensure brand identity and guidelines are respected

  • Build strong relationships with internal clients and partners based on trust and understanding - Manage expectations

  • Defend strategies and media choices

  • Ensures brand identity and guidelines are respected

  • Analyze and organize information for presentation purposes

  • Contribute to the achievement of corporate annual objectives and targets with integrity

  • Provide support to the Manager, Marketing Promotions

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Marketing option or equivalent

  • 3 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of loyalty programs an asset

  • Proficient in grammar, spelling and punctuation in English and French

  • Agency experience - an asset

  • Practical knowledge of digital mediums including internet and social media channels

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good listener and ample communication skills

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and requests from competing stakeholders and to align day-to-day responsibilities with wider corporate strategy

  • Comfortable working independently and within a team environment assisting colleagues whenever possible

  • Explicit attention to detail and accuracy

  • High levels of ingenuity, creativity and initiative

  • Resistance to stress
