For over 40 years, Ultima Foods has been a Canadian leader in the development, manufacturing and marketing of yogurt brands and fresh dairy products such iögo and Olympic. The company, which is owned by dairy cooperatives Agropur and Agrifoods and headquartered in St-Hubert, on the South Shore of Montreal, has nearly 700 employees across the country. Its Granby (QC) and Delta (BC) plants are world-class manufacturing facilities that are producing and distributing annually across Canada over a hundred million kilos of fresh dairy products. Having developed a yogurt culture in the country, Ultima Foods offers products adapted to the tastes and expectations of consumers by leveraging high standards of quality and innovation.
The Key Accounts Manager plans, organizes and controls the growth opportunity for all accounts under his or her responsibility so as to maximize sales and surpass objectives. The incumbent also maintains excellent business relations with customers by making his or her expertise available to them.
To do so, he or she will:
Develop and implement annual business plans including volume objectives, trade spend requirements and strategies that are consistent with Ultima brand and corporate strategies, opportunities and risks.
Work closely with Customer, Insights leader and Trade Marketing to identify, develop and execute category strategies to build profitable share of market shelf, display, assortment and coop.
Achieve desired accounts trade spending goals through working closely with trade spending analyst and finance.
Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing with major account buyers.
Prepare and present business reviews and recommend initiatives to deliver on Customer’s commercial opportunities.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a similar position in CPG (Food an asset).
Thorough knowledge and expertise of category management including AC Nielsen and customer specific analytics.
Experience in category management or internal sales strategy/trade marketing is an asset.
Ability to prepare and make presentations and deliver business reviews.
Collaborative approach and ability to build internal cross functional relationships, influence resource needs.
National account experience (LCL, Sobeys, Walmart and Loblaw).
