We are currently seeking a talented Intermediate to Senior Level Graphic Designer to join our in-house design department.  Reporting to the Product Developer/Owner, this position requires your creative expertise and the ability to take a project from concept to completion.  The applicant must be able to work independently and be able to manage multiple projects at once.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Graphic Design
• Senior graphic design experience (min. 3 years); in-house experience preferred
• Proficiency in Mac using Adobe CS6, Quarkxpress, Lightroom (would be an asset)
• Exceptional eye for detail with stress on strong organizational skills
• Solid understanding of production and pre-press process
• Knowledge of web content management systems
• Experience in product photography
• Ability to think creatively with knowledge of the principals of good design, such layout, colour theory and typography
• Ability to work independently but also be able to communicate effectively with managers and departments
• Knowledge of HTML & CSS would be an asset
• An interest in the beauty industry; past experience in the cosmetics/beauty industry is considered a plus but not a requirement

Responsibilities

• Follow the company's look and feel to ensure consistent representation produce 4 seasonal catalogues and 1 product catalogue from start to finish
• Photograph products as necessary
• Edit and colour correct photo's
• Co-ordinate projects with printer, web developers and other vendors to obtain quotes, establish specs, submit files
• Proof content and execute pre-production, along with approving printer proofs
• Organize project files and archive finished projects.
• Retouch images for use on web and in print
• Establish project timelines and deadlines
• Produce in-house creative materials as required and contribute to the constant evolution of Pinnacle Cosmetics
