Position Overview

The Graphics Designer will work closely with Marketing and cross-functional teams to create various marketing materials, website elements and other essential brand related items to establish and reinforce corporate brand identity.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Work collaboratively within the Marketing Team to improve the overall look and feel of Intelex's online properties
  • Design creative elements for digital marketing initiatives including email campaigns, online banner advertising, and custom landing pages
  • Design all flash assets for Intelex.com and Intelex-Exchange.com
  • Design and layout print marketing materials such as post card mailers, brochures, tradeshow banners, magazine ads, etc.
  • Create user interface assets for online properties and software applications
  • Update and distribute company-wide documentation templates
  • Track and report on project timelines and achievements
  • Ensure consistency of design across all marketing platforms
  • Actively participate in marketing brainstorming activities and team meetings
  • Create and maintain a style guide for Intelex's online and offline marketing assets
  • Keep abreast of most the most current techniques and treatments in graphic design
  • Some work with video production and editing may be required
  • Design, co-ordinate and distribute necessary brand elements for internal initiatives
  • Coordinate and facilitate photo sessions
    Provide video editing and support as need to the Marketing Videographer
  • Other special design projects as requested by various internal clients

  • Reports to the Director of Content Marketing Strategy

Qualifications

Skills & Work Traits

  • A self-directed, initiative taker who is keen to own graphics design as a marketing function.
  • Creative decision making ability
  • Portfolio must exhibit proficiency in both interactive and print mediums
  • Experience with video production and editing an asset
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to inspire, teach, lead and work as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong strategic, visual and verbal skills
  • Ability to communicate and problem solve with various internal and external clients

Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge and understanding of Web design and UI design
  • Print set up preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe
  • Intermediate knowledge of Marketo
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

Experience

  • Minimum 2-5 years’ work experience in a graphic design role in a corporate or agency environment
  • Experience in a software environment considered an asset
  • Website development and creation skill considered an asset

Education

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Graphic Design or related field
