The Opportunity
The Firm has an immediate opening for a Graphic & Layout Artist to join the Marketing team for a 12 month maternity leave contract with the possibility of contract extension. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the successful candidate will create and maintain official brand materials, design and layout various marketing
materials, and be responsible for the creation and coordination of official forms development.

Primary Responsibilities

Brand Management
Creates graphic design materials that can be used for print, digital (web), and mobile device platforms.
Maintains the Firm’s official graphic and brand standards.
Develops original marketing and communications solutions for a variety of target audiences.

Design & Layout
Creates advertising and marketing materials with seamless integration of previously branded
documents.
Applies established corporate brand guidelines to unbranded/raw documents.
Maintains and updates data for a variety of marketing materials.

Forms
Coordinates with relevant departments regarding creation, revision, consolidation, and/or elimination of
forms.
Utilizes computer software and technical expertise to design and generate drafts; produces final layouts
that are electronically fillable; reviews final products for quality and accuracy.
Determines appropriate order, grouping, size, and spacing of information to be included on forms.
Ensures that employees and the public have access to current versions of all forms.
Implements and maintains the numbering system for cataloging and tracking forms.
Maintains an up-to-date database listing of current and retired forms.

Requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts (typography, colouring,
spacing, etc.)
Advanced skill of Adobe Creative Suite programs (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
Advanced knowledge of design within MS Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient knowledge of standards used for print materials
Proficient knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in graphic design
Knowledge of investment industry would be an asset, but is not required Education
3-5 years of design experience in a professional team setting.
Degree or certificate in graphic design or previous relevant experience.
