The Toronto office is currently seeking a Graphic Designer with a proven, professional record of delivering creative and innovative solutions for branding and marketing. The successful candidate will work in a marketing team responsible for the brand identity and marketing material for the Smith + Andersen group

Qualifications:

Candidate(s) must:

  • Degree or diploma in graphic design
  • Familiarity with web technology (HTML5) is an asset
  • Fluent in the software (full Adobe Suite) of the trade
  • 5 years graphic design experience. Corporate experience is an asset
  • Registered Graphic Designer is an asset
  • Proven industry experience in branding, corporate identity and graphic design development
  • Highly innovative with an attention to detail and ability to accept direction
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as part of a team
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize own work schedule

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for recommending, developing and maintaining brand identity materials
  • Assist in the development of social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter to ensure continuity of branding
  • Responsible for generating new ideas for materials whether related to website design, marketing brochures, advertisements, banners, posters, etc.
  • Work cohesively in a group of marketing administrators and support their efforts
  • Assist with the visual design development and updates of websites
  • Participate in brainstorming activities to develop concepts for various branding initiatives
  • Continually ensures consistency in the Smith + Andersen brand
  • Manage production (contract) for printing or other output of marketing material
  • Manage requirements for copywriting
  • Work to tight deadlines
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies in new media including design programs and post-production techniques
