Pinnacle Cosmetics is one of the very few Cosmetic Private Label companies in the world. Ssssh, it's actually Toronto's little secret.  Pinnacle specializes in providing high quality products to those who want to create their own branded makeup line.

Pinnacle Cosmetics launches 4-8 seasonal catalogues along with a large product guide of all their current products, along with colour and ingredients information.  This is where we need you!  With the company's feel in place we need you to hold that standard for us.

We are currently seeking a talented Intermediate Level Graphic Designer to join our in-house design department.  Reporting to the Owner, this position requires your creative expertise and the ability to take ownership of a project.  The applicant must be able to work independently and be able to manage multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities

  • Update marketing materials and other existing collateral materials as needed
  • Have a keen eye for detail to ensure all artwork is correct
  • Photograph products as necessary
  • Edit and colour correct photos; retouch images for use on web and in print
  • Co-ordinate projects with printer, web developers and other vendors to obtain quotes, establish specs, submit files
  • Proof content and execute pre-production, along with approving printer proofs
  • Assist as needed with creating graphics and updating content for website using a CMS
  • Update/layout of packaging dielines
  • Design assets for digital and traditional media
  • Establish project timelines and deadlines

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Design or related field
  • Production Artist/Graphic Design experience (min. 1-3 years); in-house experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Mac platform using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Exceptional eye for detail with stress on strong organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of production and pre-press process
  • Knowledge of web content management systems
  • Ability to think creatively with knowledge of the principals of good design, such layout, colour theory and typography
  • Knowledge of HTML & CSS would be an asset
  • An interest in the beauty industry; past experience in the cosmetics/beauty industry is considered a plus but not a requirement
