POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for supporting client sales and marketing personnel by designing sales and marketing materials; planning and illustrating concept; producing creative graphic layouts for a variety of exhibit-related uses, and output of finished designs onto various print production media equipment

Design and Produce Graphic Layouts
- Designing sales and marketing materials
- Creating graphic layouts
- Operating graphic design software with a high level of proficiency
- Checking and approving copy layout and colors for graphic and production
- Maintaining files for graphic drawings and graphics information folders
- Keeping current on new techniques, procedures, materials in the exhibit production field
- Identifying problems and opportunities for improvement/cost savings; recommending and implementing actions to address these
Printing Services
- Preparing artwork for print ready status from client provided or in-house design
- Preparing colour proofs as necessary
- Operating printing, routing or cutting equipment with an optimal efficiency of both the equipment and the operator’s time
- Maintenance of production equipment and monitoring of raw material substrates and ink ensuring sufficient quantities are available but not in excess
- Measuring and minimizing waste
- Keep abreast of new technologies, new methods, new products, and software for the printing industry and make recommendations and suggestions to management
Client Services
- Planning and illustrating concepts for client
- Updating and correcting renderings as per client specifications
- Maintaining accurate, detailed database of past work
- Attending job launches
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- Working knowledge of graphics as a marketing and communications tool
- Extensive CS Suite experience including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc.)
- Knowledge of methods of graphic production and colour matching
- Ability to understand and follow complex directions accurately and quickly
- Ability to work in a high paced rapidly changing work environment
- Attention to detail
- Experience operating printing machines such as inkjet, UV, Dyesub, and Latex
- Competency in spelling and grammar
- College diploma in Graphic Arts with a minimum of 5 years Design experience
