Freelance Editorial and Web Designer freelance

Mediaplanet Publishing is seeking freelance editorial designers to work in house approximately 3-4 days a week, 2-3 weeks per month on an ongoing basis. Must have at least 1 year of editorial/publishing experience. Designer will be working side by side with project managers in a very fast paced environment with our template system to design content marketing campaigns from start to finish that run inside leading newspapers. Must own your own laptop with Adobe Creative Suite CS5 or higher and feel comfortable working on it in the office.

The ideal candidate is used to working under the pressure of short deadlines and quick turn around time, operating as an individual and as part of a team with the ability to problem solve quickly. Must be highly organized with an eye for detail and great communication skills via email, phone, Skype and in person.  Print production experience is a plus. Strong typographical skills and ability to work with layout templates required. Must be advanced in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

All print campaigns have an online presence. This position presents the potential to work with us digitally. Strong candidates will also possess web design experience and the ability to code HTML and CSS.
