CanaDream RV Rentals & Sales offers 8 locations across Canada and a fleet of over 800 vehicles that allow our guests and RV owners to experience Canada at their own pace.

Working as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, and reporting to the CEO and COO, the Director, Marketing & Communications develops and implements long-range objectives, strategies and policies for all aspects of internal & external communications and marketing activities for CanaDream. This role drives the overall effectiveness of the department, managing the team, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team member.

Overall Functions & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of comprehensive marketing plans and strategy for relevant business areas
  • Develop and manage the marketing & communications budget
  • Ensure CanaDream's multi-lingual web properties are being developed, reviewed and improved appropriately
  • Lead agencies and internal team members where appropriate to execute all communication activities and public relations (marketing materials, advertising, client communications, marketing campaigns, press releases, content for trade publications, etc.)
  • Manage media relations, research editorial opportunities and build relationships with key industry media
  • Manage development of an investor relations strategy - communicating with shareholders, developing an IR web presence, etc.
  • Measure effectiveness of marketing programs and products through the collection and analysis of international, national and regional data
  • Provide regular reporting on booking milestones, Google Analytics & Adwords data and other reports as needed
  • Manage the development, motivation and retention of the marketing team
  • Actively participate in the recruitment of new staff members
  • Coach, develop and mentor employees to succeed in achieving business and professional objectives

Job Qualifications

  • University degree with at least 8-10 years previous experience in a marketing and communications leadership role
  • Highly developed marketing and communications skills with extensive knowledge of marketing disciplines ideally with brand management, digital and media, public relations and investor relations experience
  • Extensive knowledge in development and execution of marketing plans and media management as it pertains to advertising, trade communications, collateral and the web
  • Thorough understanding of branding principles & tactics through all channels with an emphasis on Web and social media
  • Proven ability to design, develop and implement both strategic programs and supporting tactics
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business concepts and express them in clear language
  • Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within tight timelines
