(Digital) Marketing Specialist full-time
Sotheby's International Realty Canada is looking for a motivated, entrepreneurial person to join our head office team as a Marketing Specialist. Our ideal candidate has at least three years’ experience in contributing to digital, web, email and traditional marketing communications programs as a project manager and writer, preferably in an agency or technology environment. If you are a digital marketer with a talent for writing targeted and engaging content, stellar project management abilities, a client-service oriented personality, and a reputation for rolling up your sleeves and "getting things done" with enthusiasm, we’d love to hear from you. Real estate industry experience isn’t essential, but a genuine interest in real estate and a passion for marketing absolutely is.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the VP, Marketing, your responsibilities will include:
Marketing Project Management
You’ll project manage major front and back-end website enhancements, landing pages/microsites, SEM/online advertising campaigns, and other marketing/communications projects:
- Maintain project schedules, status reports, timelines and budgets for all marketing/communications projects
- Oversee all aspects of project delivery from conception to launch, ensuring that initiatives are delivered on time, on budget and on brand
- Provide day-to-day support and collaboration with longstanding agency partners
- Monitor and facilitate project progress and approvals, keeping key stakeholders updated on status
- Oversee and manage national and regional marketing calendars and media bookings
- Ensure thorough quality assurance testing and proofreading of all projects
CRM/Email Campaign Management
You’ll lead the development, quality assurance testing, list management, deployment, and reporting for all internal and external email campaigns:
- Develop internal and external content calendars for various audience segments
- Create, manage and monitor lead cultivation/drip marketing programs
- Manage the creative development process for all campaigns, collaborate with in-house designers, and research, write and edit copy
- QA, proofread and test all emails to ensure accuracy and tracking prior to release
- Coordinate and deploy emails using an enterprise-level CRM
- Report on traffic and conversion performance metrics, noting trends and making recommendations for improvement
Content Marketing and Copywriting
You’ll write compelling copy and content for Sotheby’s International Realty Canada’s email campaigns, corporate newsletters, internal communications, website/campaign landing pages, online fulfillment pieces and other marketing communications materials:
- Research, write, copyedit and proofread copy in the voice of our brand, and with the goal of driving demand and inquiries
- Proactively monitor and update website content
- Liaise and oversee external writers, copyeditors, translators when necessary
- Upload new content using web and email content management platforms
- Write for SEO—update, analyze and optimize content, using keyword terms, metadata and other methods to optimize search engine positions
Analytics & Reporting
You live by the numbers, and will spearhead regular reporting on all websites, microsites and digital campaigns:
- Build dashboards, analyze and report on metrics
- Flag issues, identify opportunities for improvement and act upon them rapidly
Training & Support
With an understanding that marketing technology is only as good as how well and widely it’s used, you’ll increase and improve the usage of sothebysrealty.ca’s features and tools by our agents and staff across Canada:
- Write technical documentation and training materials for sothebysrealty.ca, ensuring that training materials are created or updated with each major features release
- Work collaboratively with marketing and office staff to clearly and effectively promote the roll-out of new features and ensure their adoption by staff and agents, including hosting webinars and training sessions
- Provide timely technical support and resolution when glitches arise
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital marketing (or integrated marketing with a digital focus) preferably in an agency or technology environment
- Positive “roll up your sleeves and get things done” attitude
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a portfolio of writing samples (online or print)
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, objectives and deadlines
- Hands on experience in managing lists and deploying emails through an enterprise level email marketing/CRM system
- Familiarity with all aspects of the creative and production process for websites and email campaigns, from project initiation and creative development, through to HTML and QAing
- Experience with Google Analytics and other web marketing tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the desire to contribute to a collaborative team
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Bachelor’s or post-secondary degree
Additional Skills & Experience
- Some technical background, with knowledge of HTML/XHTML/CSS, content management systems and a familiarity with website programming languages a significant asset
- Experience with lead nurturing, drip marketing and marketing automation technology a significant asset
- Adobe Photoshop skills an asset
