Career Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Marketing Strategy, the Digital Marketing Manager is accountable for overseeing digital production and execution, and management of digital advertising. The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and successful delivery of all digital marketing production and manages all of our online paid media channels. Working closely with the creative, digital and practice unit marketing teams, the Digital Marketing Manager plans and executes digital advertising programs and content marketing strategies across multiple platforms, including paid search / Adwords, pay-per-click / pay-per-lead, remarketing/retargeting , social media advertising (LinkedIn, Facebook), and content syndication and distribution. This individual works with the extended marketing team to create all digital paid promotional efforts and thought leadership strategies..

The Digital Marketing Manager will have proven experience creating and executing highly effective integrated digital advertising programs in a B2C and B2B environment.  This individual must possess a strong understanding of the digital advertising and content promotion landscape, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Digital Marketing, especially paid advertising and content marketing.

Performance Expectations; included but not limited to:

Digital marketing production

  • Develop, execute and manage web based marketing initiatives and provide strategic guidance during the development of projects

  • Supervise the work of the digital marketing team in executing marketing dockets

  • Establish priorities for all tasks and allocate appropriate resources for digital initiatives

  • Manage external service providers, oversee projects, billing, contract negotiations, etc.

  • Coordinate with marketing and business stakeholders to ensure successful execution of dockets

  • Actively participate in the marketing planning process

  • Ensure quality control procedures are in place and strictly adhered to

  • Ensure compliance with firm brand standards and objectives

SEM / Pay-per-click / Pay-per-lead

  • Manage, measure and track PPC campaigns, including keyword development, budgeting and performance tracking

  • Keyword research (discovery and expansion), ad copy and landing page design, campaign building and planning, campaign optimization and reporting

  • Utilize SEO and analytics to help inform PPC and other paid media campaigns, and advise on content development and content optimization needs

  • Ensure programs are measurable and support objectives

  • Test, analyze and optimize to increase performance metrics and perform ongoing tests of PPC and display ads, landing pages and copy.

  • Recommend solutions to increase traffic and conversion rates

  • Analyze ROI on individual campaigns to define the most beneficial use of digital marketing budgets and communicate results and key learnings of analysis to stakeholders

  • Make recommendations for adjustments to plans and campaigns based on insights and implement improvements as required

  • Monitor digital trends and competition activities and act as a source of guidance with regards to the development of digital marketing practices

  • Develop understanding of clients, industries, and competitive pressures for key business units

Display advertising

  • Manage the strategy and execution of display advertising campaigns, including ad network and RTB buys, retargeting, remarketing, and geotargeting

  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills in maximizing media buys with vendors

  • Develop integrated digital marketing campaigns that promote brand, competitive positioning, lead generation, and lead nurturing

  • Utilize display to drive a measurable increase in awareness, visitors and leads

  • Create and manage campaigns supporting business objectives and coordinate with other digital marketing functions

  • Provide and improve design, usability and brand messaging across all digital assets

  • Advise on industry best practices

  • Ensure effective marketing spend and develop marketing budgets that support the fulfillment of the objectives

  • Demonstrate sound judgment in allocation of marketing budgets

  • Coordinate payment of vendor invoices

  • Track spending against budget and reports on variances

  • Demonstrate ongoing improvement in marketing ROI

Develop and maintain key customer relationships

  • Understand MNP’s business, internal stakeholders, and key internal customers

  • Demonstrate ongoing commitment to delivering outstanding account management

  • Progressively build trust and credibility to be seen as a trusted advisor for marketing

  • Participate in business events and activities; be visible and engaged with the business

  • Understand the roles of our marketing team members and the services they provide to the market by engaging in one-on-one communication

Continuous personal education and development

  • Build and maintain proficiency in marketing planning, traditional media, online / interactive

  • Attend relevant workshops, seminars and conferences, read professional blogs and shares and applies learning to the workplace

  • Demonstrate professionalism in day-to-day routines and interactions

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years digital advertising and production experience is required
  • Proven experience managing large SEM/PPC and display advertising programs

  • Experience in a high volume digital-focused agency would be considered an asset

  • In-depth knowledge of digital technologies

  • Interest in continuous research and education on the latest trends in online marketing

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the digital and mobile spaces, specifically lead generation

  • Highly analytical with the ability to understand and combine data from multiple sources (e.g. Google Analytics, Adwords, marketing automation) to identify trends and opportunities

  • Well organized, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with compressed timeframes

  • Superior communication skills

  • Fluency in French (written and verbal) would be an asset

  • Must know how to have fun at work
