What you’ll do…

As a Design Project Manager you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Design Manager - Flagship & Special Projects to execute from conception to completion, all design and construction projects as determined by the department senior leadership.

Support the planning, design and execution process, coordinate and schedule the delivery and installation where required, by the set date and within set budgets of the following projects (but not limited to):

  • Fixtures, millwork & merchandising
  • Store supplies
  • Graphics, sign packages
  • Service Shop machines, etc.
  • Vendor shop installations and coordination
  • Coordinate Instore Digital offerings with the Digital team

  • Project monitoring/management and execution of the desired design vision, follow up and co-ordinate all requirements as per scheduled date or date changes
  • Visit stores to verify that projects are being completed as per design
  • Coordinate banner wide Special Projects - communicate time lines for operations and store staff
  • Support and source new items as per operations purchasing’s needs
  • Support/manage new initiatives, such as prototype development
  • Update and own FGL Sports design & construction overall project schedule
  • Work closely with vendors, operations, merchandising and all other internal teams to coordinate projects
  • Build partnerships and strategic working relationships with vendors and internal teams

What you bring…

  • Post-Secondary preferable, project management training is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience
  • Proficient knowledge of various design specific computer programs, ideally, AutoCAD
  • Strong initiative, positive energy and ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to multi-task frequently with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn & understand existing and new store architectural drawings
  • Capable of remaining professional under stressful situations
  • Strong research and planning ability
  • Experience with cost control and budget management
  • Customer focused with very strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A good understanding of store operations and FGL Sports corporate banners
  • Capable of working in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Some travel may be required
