The work of the Creative Studio brings the BCIT brand to life in advertising, collateral, photography, video, copy, and social media, adding dynamic dimension to institutional stories. The Creative Studio includes designers, photographer, videographers, and copywriter.


Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications, the Creative Manager, manages and directs the work of the creative studio, including a team of Marketing and Communications professionals and external creative resources. The Creative Manager oversees the project lifecycle from initiation through post-launch project review, managing resource allocation and planning to ensure agility and accurate project delivery, and ensuring that final deliverables meet the quality expectations of stakeholders. This position shapes and delivers the creative vision of BCIT’s marketing and communications products and ensures it is on strategy. The Creative Manager leads creative conceptualization, innovation, and pushes the boundaries on advertising and design trends.

The Creative Manager will be an innovative and dynamic leader with demonstrated experience in art direction and graphic design, including within branding, print, and digital. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for creative strategy and project management. The preferred candidate will have a relevant a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Arts, or relevant discipline, with ongoing education in related areas. The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire collaboration across diverse project teams and initiatives. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
