Clearly is seeking a dynamic individual to add to the success of our Marketing team as a Creative Lead.

We serve customers in more than 150 countries through the Clearly family of websites: our team is responsible for systems and support for multiple warehouses and web properties across Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • The Creative Lead oversees all creative development for Clearly, including creative concepts, art direction, graphic design, photography, videography and animations
  • You work from a brief to develop ideas, plan and execute projects across a variety of mediums, such as digital advertising, website content, print, out of home, packaging, retail marketing, event assets and other collateral
  • You manage all projects, deadlines and tasks assigned to the creative team
  • You provide direction and guidance to the internal creative team and freelancers as required
  • You coordinate a network of extra support, collaborators, freelancers or agencies when external resources are needed
  • You direct and manage the creative team & crew in campaign photo shoots
  • You are responsible for the visual identity of the company, keeping a high level of consistency of the brand internally and externally
  • You present your work to directors or executive teams
  • You provide leadership and support to the content/copywriting team, ensuring that language is on brand and that the work is well-integrated with the design team’s creative
  • You manage the administrative aspect of the team and creative budget expenses
  • You work with the advertising team to understand campaign performance to optimize creative for stronger results (e.g. email, display advertising)
  • You work with external agency partners on larger marketing initiatives and activations

What You Need To Do Your Job:

  • You have 8+ years of experience in the creative industry
  • You have hands on experience with logo design, typography, colour theory, web layout, image manipulation, editorial design, print production, packaging design
  • You have working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Ps, Ai, Id, Br)
  • You know how to work from a brief, conduct brainstorms, plan and execute projects
  • You put together concept decks and present your work to others
  • You have experience managing teams of minimum 3-5 direct reports
  • You ideally have developed your creative expertise in an ecommerce or retail environment
  • You have knowledge of the copy/content development process and are able to foster creative collaboration between copy and creative teams
