Surespan Digital, the soon to be acclaimed developers behind the “Currently in Stealth-Mode” digital freight matching marketplace, are looking for a passionate and friendly person who loves on-boarding people and influencing a community – in our case, a thriving community of entrepreneurial owner-operator truckers and shippers. We are the solution to the “Uberization of freight” problem.

When successful, you will be responsible for working between our technical operations team and the business operations team to develop, nurture, and represent the community. As a member of the Community and Capacity Building Team, you will get to interface with all user-types and developers too, so worldly communication and great organizational skills are an absolute must.

Reports to: Business Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

Work with the Community Team to do the following:

  • Absorb the marketing strategy and excitedly execute on the user acquisition tactics
  • Communicate the value and opportunity of being a user to candidates
    • Cold, warm and hot calls; might be by phone, email or in-person
  • Onboard new users and train them accordingly
  • Build and maintain relationships with community and all varied subsets
  • Ensure the health and vitality of the community and relationships within the community
  • Make every effort to retain and, as required, re-onboard users
  • Assist with the planning, design and execution of community initiatives
  • Create, curate and manage written, video and social content
  • Represent community at industry events
  • Identify opportunities for community development, evolution, and growth

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Well developed and worldly verbal and written communication skills
  • High-level problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Quick learner and willingness to take on new challenges and learn new things
  • Be a powerful influencer and happy to work with community’s changing behaviours
  • Ability to fluidly work across teams and work independently on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • 3+ years in Community Management position or equivalent work (e.g. Business Development)
  • Ability to manage and drive new objectives
  • Comfortable working in a very communicative, fast-paced, and passionate team environment
  • Great knowledge of social media and current trends
  • Candidates must bring a burning passion for disrupting the status quo and being a Change-Maker
  • Desire to help shape the future of the trucking and shipping industry
