LOCAL BRAND MANAGER

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and working closely with the Senior Vice President Operations, the LOCAL Brand Manager is a key player on the LOCAL Concept Team contributing to the direction and strategy of the brand.

As developer of the brand and marketing strategy and they set objectives, strategies and tactics for all of the marketing mix. They develop and lead annual brand strategy, are responsible for developing plans and budgets, executing projects and creative campaigns that elevate the brand positioning while driving sales. The LOCAL Brand Manager looks at the brand and marketing objectives from a 30,000 foot level but also services the day-to-day business and store initiatives.

They drive the creative direction and are responsible for all marketing and brand touch-points including; all menu designs/lay-outs, websites, social media strategy and creative, all marketing collateral such as gift cards, uniforms, take-out bags, etc.

This individual is fun, creative and lives and breathes the LOCAL brand!

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Concept Development

  • Key player on the Concept Development team with Senior VP Ops, Culinary, Bar, Procurement and Finance creating the direction of the brand and supporting Operation initiatives.
  • Is the voice of the LOCAL customer. Through research and current feedback mechanisms knows who the customer is, their needs and opportunities for the brand.

Brand Development

  • Develops and leads annual brand strategy including, but not limited to; events, promotions, advertising, in-market activities, new store opening strategy.
  • Responsible for the LOCAL marketing and promotional calendar and budgeting.

Creative Development

  • Drives the look and feel of the brand through all print, digital and in-store touch-points.
  • Works with graphic designer resource and digital agency (website) to ensure creative execution on brand.

Creative Touch-Point Execution

  • Menus - Ensues all Drink & Food menu design and updates.
  • Uniforms – Develops and drives look of the Uniform program.

Promotions & Events

  • Develops event and promotional strategy.
  • Design fun and effective touch-points that drive events and promotions.
  • Works with key suppliers to maximize promotional opportunities.

Digital Strategy

  • Drives digital strategy and execution for the LOCAL websites.
  • Is the guru for everything digital for the LOCAL brand.
  • Works with agency on ongoing maintenance and site enhancements to ensure the brands digital presence maximized.

Social Media Strategy

  • Sets the Social Media vision for the stores.
  • Drive on-line marketing initiatives.
  • Drives Social Media creative and content.

Recruiting & Internal Communications

  • Works with HR to develop to develop HR Brand and Tone.
  • Supports execution of recruiting materials including; hand-outs, advertisements, job fair collateral.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years Experience as a Brand Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing required.
  • Graphic design experience a huge asset.
  • Proven record of developing innovative and creative designs that clearly communicates and represents the brand.
  • Creative tool set knowledge and expertise (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Office Suite, Flash, HTML, Windows. etc.)
  • Experience working in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
