Who we need
Industrial Brand is looking for an intermediate level account manager who thrives on working directly with clients and has previous experience in an agency or as an account manager within a corporate environment. Demonstrated experience selling new work to existing clients or building relationships with new clients is necessary, as inside sales are part of the account manager’s responsibility along with a limited amount of project coordination.
We’re looking for someone adaptable, friendly and hardworking, as we’re a small organization and responsibilities are fluid. Everyone answers the phone.
What you’ll do
Build great relationships with our existing clients and create new relationships with potential clients. You’ll handle all the client relationships by making sure clients are listened to and taken care of. Become the expert on your clients and finding new ones.
Support the Director of Strategy with ideas to develop campaigns and brands that fit the client and working with the team to execute on the project.
Write scopes of work and project proposals for new projects for building on existing client projects. Uncover prospecting leads from existing customers and act on them quickly.
Stay up to date on our respective client industries so you can jump on trends and pitch new work to help keep them ahead of their competitors and keep revenue flowing.
Submit monthly reports to the Director of Strategy showing new work wins, work finished and final budget reports.
Effectively use project management and account management tools like Google Docs, Basecamp, and time tracking tools.
Liaise with the team executing on the client project to stay on top of roadblocks and deadlines and to ensure quality.
Handle minimal project management which includes client status updates (weekly), building and maintaining the project schedule, ensuring deliverables are met, reviewing the project budget and ensuring the project hours/contractors are on budget.
Work with the Director of Strategy to find ways to market and promote Industrial Brand to our target audience and help execute on these strategies to help generate new client relationships. Tactics may include marketing promos, emails, web content, and social media.
What we’re looking for
Excellent writing and presentation skills. Show us a Powerpoint or client reports you’ve worked on.
Possesses excellent listening skills and consistently demonstrate by effectively, paraphrasing what was articulated.
Two to three years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of bringing in new work.
Understanding how agencies work and a working knowledge of branding, website design and development, communication design, SEO and copywriting.
Experience working on branding projects and successes working with clients on these projects.
Proficient use of social media, digital marketing platforms, websites, web tools and other office tools.
Experience working with demanding, attention to detail driven clients.
A positive attitude, integrity and excitement.
Demonstrated problem solving skills, ability to work independently and make decisions effectively.
Enthusiasm and energy to jump in and get started.
Extra points if…
You have a rudimentary handle on InDesign, Hootsuite, Photoshop etc.
You know how to populate content in Wordpress.
You’ve worked on some print projects (brochures, stationary) and understand the print production process.
You like food. And donuts.
You don’t need a parking space.
