Account Executive - Vancouver full-time
Job description
The Account Executive is responsible for winning new business and development of current customers within the assigned branch office territory.
Responsibilities
- Maximize sales growth through the development of new lane segments, product marketing and customer support strategies;
- Develop a clear strategy to cultivate existing customer relationships for cross-selling opportunities;
- Generate and close new business opportunities and develop a strategy for account qualifications;
- Ensure revenue growth, meet or exceed company sales goals and targets;
- Develop and manage assigned customers;
- Create and manage a sales plan and execute that plan to success;
- Demonstrate expertise on all company product / service offerings and manage the sales of these offerings in a disciplined and direct manner;
- Sell Airfreight, Seafreight, Overland and Customs brokerage services;
- Interact with clients, schedule meetings, make presentations, and negotiate rate quotations with comfort and ease.
- Service all orders, quotes, follow-ups and customer communication;
- Produce a sales activity report for management on a weekly basis summarizing activities and new revenue opportunities;
- Participate in a weekly or bi-weekly sales meeting;
- Securing new business in all business fields;
- Other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time by the Company.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Business, Logistics or a related field preferred;
- 3+ years’ experience in freight forwarding / logistics / transportation industry required;
- 3+ years field sales experience required, experience with both sales Account Management and Business Development functions preferred;
- Experience with sales Lead generation;
- Exposure or Track record of sales in the international freight forwarding arena;
- Must be self-motivated with a professional approach;
- Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
