We are seeking an experienced Web Designer II to join our Information Services team in our Edmonton Corporate Office.
Position Focus: Under the direction of the Web Development Manager, the Web Designer II will perform a wide range of visual communication tasks with a primary focus on web technology.
Minimum two (2) years experience working in the design field.
Expert knowledge of graphic design theory, colour principles, layout and typography.
Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience working with online or electronic forms.
Experience in financial services or insurance industry an asset.
Intermediate skill level using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Good working knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills with a strong ability to multitask and manage project deadlines with minimal supervision.

Minimum two (2) year diploma in Information Technology, Web Design, Digital Multimedia or equivalent certification.
Develop, test, and maintain web UIs and web based applications using accepted usability and behavior design principles as well as adhering to the corporate style guidelines.
Responsible for carrying out projects from mock-up to launch, including designing prototypes and wireframes, then moving the final product to production.
Conceptualize and produce graphic design elements for various mediums. Utilize existing photo and illustrations to produce supporting imagery.
Consult with clients in order to determine their communication needs and goals and ensure service request and change management processes are followed.
Create reusable and easily maintainable CSS.
Create and provide maintenance of dynamic electronic (online or PDF) forms using Adobe LiveCycle Designer and Acrobat Professional.
Track time and progress using project management software.
Work on complex assignments requiring continuous periods of concentration, with moderate interruption.
Provide overall leadership to the Web team in Graphics Design best practices.
Provide user support for various web applications.
Assist in internet/intranet administration.
