  • Build and communicate unique and compelling brand stories Develop and execute marketing strategies for both Reebok Hockey and CCM Brands Maximize Pro exposure to validate and communicate our products’ performance
  • Brand Building Create competitive and unique brand positioning
  • Marketing Communications Create marketing campaigns that deliver consumer and trade messages in a compelling fashion Manage all communication channels including traditional media social media and public relations Develop and implement Go-To-Market strategy consistent with business calendar
  • MarketConsumer Insight Identify worldwide trade and consumer trends and needs in order to be at the forefront of future trends and true product innovation
  • Product Usage Ensure the company achieves and surpasses product usage objectives by the best players in the game for every category for both Reebok and CCM brands
  • Sports Marketing Industry Networking Key contact with NHL KHL AHL CHL IIAF USA Hockey and Hockey Canada Ensure development and implementation of best-in-class strategy pertaining to league relations player and agent relationships and contract negotiation Maximize and execute our contractual rights to their fullest potential and create innovative and creative programs to incentivize players to use our products
  • Pro Feedback Provide Pro input and feedback to the Product Development group Set up guidelines and standards across the Quality Control group

Human Capital Alignment Ensure alignment of human capital to the objectives of the Marketing organization through skills assessment training and performance management Develop the awareness leadership and accountability of employees in the research of solutions through their involvement in continuous improvement processes

Required competencies

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or Business Master’s is a definite asset combined with at least 15 years of experience in brand development marketing and product creation
  • At least 5 years dealing with marketing and sales orientations of key andor major accounts in consumer goods industry preferably in sporting goods
  • Ability to speak multiple languages and have deep international exposure is a plus
  • Knowledge of the hockey industry leagues products and customers
  • Presents a proven track record of successful product launches with significant market share growth
  • Must be a strategic type person who knows how to execute
  • Ability to effectively understand and interact with Sales R&D Advanced Product Group and Production functions
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and knowledge to other employees
  • Organizational development planning product management and customer knowledge are also required
  • Ability to select develop and lead a creative results-oriented winning team
  • Having played hockey at an elite level is a definite asset
  • Demonstrate strong influential skills among various stakeholders in hockey inside and outside the locker room players agents commissioners general managers equipment managers trainers Marketing Managers Ice hockey federations and internal stakeholders
  • Aligns people and activities through vision and values inspires and builds lasting commitments
  • Acts as a role model by living and promoting the company’s vision and values in a credible manner
  • Communicates the vision and values with a compelling message that creates passion in many different audiences and situations
  • Makes differentiated assessments of current business and uses this information to forecast future trends
