The Work

Clean, simple, effective design is a key element of our value to teachers and students. As UX Designer, you will plan and design new features and improvements to Showbie, then work closely with our software engineers to iterate and perfect their implementation. As a member of our small (rapidly growing) product & design team, you will also make valuable contributions to our website, branding, and other marketing materials.

Responsibilities

• plan and design new features and improvements for our iOS app, web app, and future products – everything from defining user goals to perfecting the smallest details of the UI
• work with engineers to ensure the implementation is perfect and to make adjustments if the feature isn’t shaping up as planned
• contribute to the application and evolution of our brand and marketing materials, e.g. our marketing website, t-shirts, and trade-show displays.

Qualifications

• Your portfolio demonstrates an ability to craft clean, friendly, intuitive design for apps, software products and websites, with a focus on usability and user experience.
• You have superhuman attention to detail, infinite patience, and experience working with software engineers to ensure that the finished product lives up to your vision.
• You have a degree or diploma related to visual design or web design.
• You have professional experience creating real-life products that have seen the light of day and have made measurable impact for your clients or company.
