WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Rogers Digital Media is looking for a User Experience Designer to collaborate with our brand
owners, art directors, front end developers and product managers to help define exceptional
mobile, web and other digital products. All with the end goal of creating world-class products that delight our users and support us in reaching our business objectives.

RESPONSABILITIES:
You will:
• thrive in a collaborative, creative environment that offers a mix of autonomy and collaboration,
working with some of Canada's biggest consumer media brands. Chatelaine, Maclean's,
Today's Parent, Kiss92.5, Sportsnet and Citytv are just some of the properties that we work
with.
• solve problems, balancing user and business needs and goals
• be part information architect, part usability specialist
• participate in project planning, help define product goals and requirements
• design the product concepts, structure and user experience of our products
• determine the best IA/UX activities and deliverables to support the project, the product
owners, the creative, development, production teams
• conduct IA/UX activities and produce related deliverables, including:
o conducting user, analytics, and competitive research, heuristic reviews, and
content inventories, synthesize findings and recommendations
o brainstorming
o creating user profiles/personas, user and task flows and scenarios
o producing site maps, sketches, wireframes, and low and high fidelity prototypes
(paper, functional)
o participate in and provide support on product build evaluation and testing efforts
o assist in developing re-useable UI elements and design patterns

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-6 years of experience as a user experience designer, information architect, or similar role
  • Online portfolio that demonstrates expertise in information architecture and design
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, presentation and creative problem solving skills
  • Confidence as UX/IA expert balanced with diplomacy and tact
  • Enjoy working in an agile environment with designers and front-end developers
  • Post secondary education
