Position Overview:

LawDepot.com is currently expanding and looking to recruit a UX Design Lead in Edmonton, Alberta. Working with the Marketing team, you will be responsible for managing projects and leading the design team in delivering an excellent user experience for LawDepot products and websites. This is a full time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of designers working to create simple, beautiful user experiences for all screen types
• Champion design team initiatives such as the creation of design guidelines, asset libraries, process improvements and tools
• Prioritize projects, set schedules and assign resources
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product and Legal team members to define design objectives
• Mentor team members to develop a high-performance culture
• Deliver user-focused design best practices to improve key performance indicators
• Create wireframes, storyboards and prototypes, then turn them into fully-realized mockups
• Manage, document and analyze requirements to translate business needs into an engaging user experience
• Work with the Development department to create specs and efficient implementation plans

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in a Design related program
• 5+ years of experience in a User Experience (UX) Designer, User Interface (UI) Designer, Web Designer or Graphic Designer role
• Previous management experience would be an asset
• Impressive design portfolio showcasing UI/UX design for a variety of screen types
• Familiarity with the following UX disciplines: interaction design, information architecture, user research, storyboarding, wireframe creation, concept design and prototyping
• Extensive, up-to-date knowledge of web design best practices
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
