We are looking for a self-motivated Sr. Account Manager superstar to join our Toronto marketing team and grow with us.

As a Sr. Account Manager, you would be responsible for designing, building, and executing strategic marketing campaigns and accountable for day-to-day client, project and budget management.  Your goal is to manage long-term relationships with clients and advertising agencies alike, delivering top shelf customer service. Additionally, we are looking for someone to lead and develop our internal team of interns and Account Coordinators.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains strong business relationships with existing and potential clients and key decision makers in the industry;
  • Responsible for campaign development, budget creation and overall management on multiple projects;
  • Analyzes briefs - judiciously and efficiently utilizes internal resources to prepare documents and presentations;
  • Leads on campaigns via clients, communications and client management (regionally and nationally);
  • Develop ideas and leads brainstorm sessions;
  • Oversees master campaign plan and critical path, including budgets
  • Oversees the training of infield teams (traveling to other markets as required);
  • Contributes to the development of new methodologies and diffusion of innovative practices in experiential marketing;
  • Participates actively in all sales meetings and internal and external training seminars;
  • Maximizes networking opportunities by continuously ensuring Jam Van’s presence at various industry events;
  • Drive agency collaboration with other client field based partners –to ensure 360-degree activation;
  • Continuously manage expectations and perceptions of distributors, main client contacts, corporate, alliance partners and vendors;
  • Provide recommendations on ways to enhance activations and apply best practices to achieve goals set during planning;
  • Actively participate in client meetings to learn about brand positioning and internal processes;
  • Identify and recognize local market opportunities for clients - that support marketing objectives;
  • Coach and mentor team and work collaboratively with other internal teams – operations, creative, digital etc.
  • Act as point person for all client executions;
  • Establish, coordinate and execute all assigned on-site activities with the goal of continually enhancing client campaigns;
  • Develop timelines and communication as needed to layout responsibilities, status reports and next steps to local market teams;
  • Work with teams for troubleshooting on event days, confirming appropriate needs and staffing, etc.
  • Develop thoughtful reports including analysis of KPI’s and budget reconciliation

Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

  • 4-6 years of events, experiential marketing and/or promotions (Brand or Agency)
  • 3-5 years people management experience
  • University degree or College Diploma in Business or related field
  • 2-3 years client management experience
  • Strong project management skills – keeping campaigns on time and budget
  • Demonstrated ability to grow client accounts
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present activation plans to internal teams and distributor network;
  • Proven time management skills (of self and others); ability to multi-task
  • Flexibility – will require you to work some evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lead and plan 360 degree marketing programs
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to generate insights from data
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, design knowledge an asset (Photoshop)
  • Ability to develop and articulate creative ideas;
  • Adaptability to develop strong relationships and manage multiple partners, vendors, manufacturers, and programs
  • Confident personality that can communicate and handle different management styles both internally and from client / partners
  • Ability to deal with constructive criticism and deliver on high expectations
