Special Event Staffing/Logistics Administrator Full-Time

Position: Special Event Staffing & Logistics Administrator: To apply you should be great with people, have some managerial experience and want a future in the special events industry. Previous experience in scheduling staff is an asset.

About Us: Hart Entertainment Inc. is one of Toronto’s premiere special event rental companies. We provide our rentals for: Toronto Blue Jays,  casino events, retail promotions, Universities/Colleges, company picnics, school fun days, corporate team building, and non-profits events. www.HartEntertainment.com

You will become well versed on the different types of services  we offer our clients from: Rock Climbing walls, Mechanical Bulls, Photo booths, Inflatables, casino equipment, arcade games…and how our rentals are  utilized  in the special event industry.

Shining Star: We are looking for a “shining star” with at least 2 years  of experience who  will be able to  contribute to the growth  and success of our company.   The successful candidate needs to be able to multi task and turn on a dime when necessary.

Desired Skills and Experience include: Works well under pressure with multiple deadlines, knows how to troubleshoot, have excellent customer service and phone skills.

  • minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in special event or equivalent
  • Bachelor degree/Diploma or equivalency
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Passion for the special event industry
  • Strong computer skills
  • Motivated and driven
  • Strong work ethic, and highly team oriented
  • Positive attitude
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Scheduling of staff to attend events
  • Hiring and training of event operators and delivery staff
  • Truck logistics including:  CVOR- MTO book-keeping (will train)
  • Preparing daily event load lists
  • Health and Safety reporting

Note: The hours are 9am -5:30pm, Monday – Friday (plus occasional evenings and weekends).

Positive Can Do Attitude: Our perfect candidate will know or learn how to manage a staff of event operators. Have a very organized mind for scheduling staff, trucks and equipment.   Needless to say being a self-starter with strong work ethic is critical for success.  You must be the type of person who really enjoys working with people and cultivating relationships.     Naturally providing awesome customer and client service to our clients is paramount for our continued success and growth.

The Work: You will be called upon to learn our current systems including:  staff scheduling, health and safety reports, equipment reports, evaluation and training  a  staff of  20 part timers.  Client Communication: Have a strong aptitude in expressing oneself both orally and in writing.
