The Social Media Strategist will develop and implement the university’s social media strategy, policy and procedures; drive student recruitment and engagement initiatives; strengthen brand awareness; generate inbound traffic and encourage interaction in support of institutional strategies and enrolment management goals. This role aligns and works closely with the university’s marketing and student recruitment teams, web units, departments, centres and faculties, as well as prospect, student and alumni groups to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a social media referral network. This position is an integral part of the Advancement Office marketing, social media and communication teams.

The successful candidate must have an undergraduate degree or equivalent education and experience in marketing, communication and/or digital content management, excellent organizational and project management skills to work independently and manage complex projects. In addition, three-five years of demonstrated experience writing for online media and building editorial content, preferably in a post secondary environment, is required. All educational credentials must be recognized in Canada.
